We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us for the “Cherry Blossom Viewing Picnic without Hassle” (Tebura-de-kan-o-kai) this year. It was truly a pleasure to share the beauty of Hirosaki Park’s cherry blossoms with guests from all over the world.
We hope you enjoyed the special local flavors Lunch and Sake and the traditional performances of Ohayashi music, along with your unique gifts of Tsugaru lacquerware chopsticks and Tsugaru Vidro Sake-glass. Seeing our guests smile under the blooming trees is what makes this event so special to us.
🌸Nature’s Schedule and the Magic of Variety🌸
This year, the cherry blossoms bloomed about 10 days earlier than usual. We know that many guests felt uneasy or even had to cancel their plans after hearing news that the Somei-Yoshino peaked earlier than expected. However, the charm of Hirosaki Park goes far beyond a single variety.
Hirosaki park is home to over 50 different varieties of cherry blossoms, each blooming at its own unique pace. Even after the Somei-Yoshino petals have fallen, the stunning weeping cherry blossoms and double-layered blossoms take over, painting the park in vibrant shades of pink.
🌸The Beauty of Late-Blooming Varieties🌸
As you can see in the photos below, our guests who joined us during the latter half of the event were able to enjoy a magnificent flower-viewing experience under these breathtaking, late-blooming trees.
The “second wave” of blossoms in Hirosaki is a hidden gem, offering a lush and diverse beauty that is just as spectacular as the early season. No matter when the season starts, Hirosaki Park always has stunning blossoms waiting for you.

With the petals now dancing in the wind, we have officially concluded our services for the 2026 season. We are so grateful for the wonderful memories we created together this year.

For those planning their visit for next spring, we are excited to announce that we will begin accepting applications for the 2027 Cherry Blossom Viewing Picnic between December 2026 and January 2027.
